your new summer travel destination- Positano, Italy
You must be thinking ITALY. Again. Though, Why not? It’s a great country famous for its travel destinations with rich history of ancient art and ruins. You can get a mind-cleansing, soul-touching, find-your-inner-beauty (okay, I’m exaggerating but still) experiences by visiting Italy.
Summer Vacation Travel Destination – POSITANO, ITALY
There are, Seriously very beautiful and scenic places to visit like Naples from Southern Italy, famous for its art works and historic sites along with shops, restaurant and nightlife venues to–> Sicily which is the home of Mediterranean civilization to–> Cinque Terra- the “Five Lands” for the country’s most beautiful landscapes including steep cliffs sides and wine terraces of hundred years old. There are also very small and local places all around the country to visit (because they are breathtaking like that. Duh!). But the place which has hooked me along with others is Positano.
So, Positano basically is a Cliffside village on Southern Italy’s Amalfi coast known for its pebbled beachfront and steep and narrow street lined with boutiques and cafes. Mainly, there aren’t many things to do because you are here to enjoy it. However, what you can do is shopping (my best pass time activity) from upscale boutiques with a pair of custom made sandals or other souvenirs as a memento or you can go hiking
to the mountains hugging the coast. Also there’s a hiking trail called Sentiero degli dei or simply Path of Gods. It happens to provide breathtaking views of cliffs and serene water of Tyrrhenian Sea. Or if you are feeling like exploring, you can have a day trip to Capri, another place famous for its charming towns and waters of blue grotto. Boats run from Positano to Capri several times a day in the summer.Although my favorite’s doing nothing. no, seriously. What beats lounging on beach chairs and soaking the sun (and gaining summer tan) while gazing at the beautiful, shining blue water in front. Literally a great place to die in peace.
These were all the places to visit. Next comes Places to eat. What you can try is Ristorante Next 2 which is a sleek wine-bar and restaurant which may look contemporary but mind you! Provides local traditional food. Also Da Adolfo , a shabby-chic shack on Laurito Beach can get you a laid-back summer lunch. Oh wait! I Forgot Romance. For a perfect romantic dinner you can go to Da Tomamaso allo Scoglio a boat ride away beachside restaurant which emphasis in seafood and vegetables.
All in all, if you ever happen to visit Italy, don’t forget to visit this beautiful town (among others) for which I’m sure you’ll enjoy it whole-heartedly because come on, it sounds interesting.
P.S. if you have want me to continue with other places around Europe or the globe or anything to say/ask, leave a comment.
Thank You guys for reading this post and Do plan this trip it once in your life.
